Senior Solutions Architect (AI & Low-Code)

Bridge the gap between business problems and engineering reality. Set the architecture for our healthcare, financial, and ERP platforms.

You Are the Bridge Between the Problem and the Solution

You are the bridge between the client's problem and our solution. You sit between people who describe their work in spreadsheets and clinical workflows and the engineers who turn that into systems that have to keep running for years.

This role is more whiteboard than IDE. You spend your days drawing data flows, mapping integration boundaries, weighing compliance constraints, and choosing the architecture that fits the problem instead of the other way around. Then you turn that picture into something real - and stay close as it ships.

You work alongside our senior engineers and directly with client stakeholders. The work is set up so that judgement, not typing speed, is the bottleneck.

We expect you to lead more than one engagement at a time, and to know when to say no — to a feature that compromises the system, a tool that doesn't fit, or a deadline that would force corner-cutting. The job is one part architect, one part diplomat, one part editor.

Responsibilities

  • Map business workflows into system designs before code begins.
  • Choose the right shape per problem (monolith, services, low-code, hybrid) - not per fashion.
  • Set technical direction for engineering teams and review work against the architecture.
  • Talk directly to client stakeholders.
  • Own the long-term evolution of each system, not just its first ship.
  • Translate compliance and security requirements into concrete architectural constraints, and document them clearly enough that engineers a year from now still respect them.
  • Lead architecture reviews and run design sessions with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Decide where AI and low-code tooling belong in the delivery stack, and where they don't.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience designing software systems end-to-end.
  • Comfort moving between traditional code and enterprise low-code (Mendix or Power Platform a plus, not required).
  • Working knowledge of applying modern AI tooling - Copilot, Cursor, agents - to ship faster without losing quality.
  • Judgment that comes from having operated production systems, not just built them.
  • You are a senior engineer who is tired of writing CRUD by hand. You want to build systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading at least one custom platform or large internal system from design through production.
  • Working comfort with at least one of: integration platforms, business-process orchestration, or event-driven systems — enough to know when each is the right shape for a problem.
  • Strong written communication. You can write the spec; you can also explain it to someone non-technical.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers.

We believe in clarity and transparency. Find quick answers to the most common questions.

Do you charge for the first call?

No. The initial 60-minute Discovery Call is free. We use this time to determine if our architectural approach is a fit for your problem. If it is, we will propose a paid Technical Roadmap phase - a structured assessment that delivers actionable recommendations regardless of whether you proceed with implementation.

What is your minimum project size?

We are best suited for engagements starting at €20,000. Smaller projects typically do not benefit from our comprehensive architectural process. For smaller initiatives, we recommend exploring enterprise low-code platforms with internal teams. We are happy to provide guidance on whether a full engagement is necessary during your Discovery Call.

Can you rescue a failing project?

Yes, but we start with a Code Audit. We need to assess the structural integrity of the existing codebase before committing to a remediation strategy. In many cases, our AI-Augmented Delivery methodology allows us to rebuild a failing system faster than fixing it would take. The Code Audit provides clarity on the most efficient path forward—repair, replace, or incremental modernization.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. We have successfully delivered systems for clients across the UK, DACH region, Scandinavia, and North America. We use Async-First communication principles to bridge time zones effectively - detailed written documentation, recorded walkthroughs, and scheduled synchronous sessions for critical decisions. Our teams operate in CET (Central European Time) with flexibility for overlap meetings.

How do you handle compliance requirements?

We design for compliance from Day 1. Our architects have direct experience with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and sector-specific regulations in healthcare and finance. Compliance is not an afterthought - it is embedded into our architectural process through data flow mapping, access control design, audit logging requirements, and security review gates. We document compliance considerations in Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) throughout the engagement.

Ready to build with us?

If this role fits, send a short note about what you have built and why this would be the next thing. We respond to every applicant we can take seriously, normally within a few days.

Your Next System Starts Here.

We build software that runs businesses. If you're ready to replace workarounds with something that actually works, let's talk.
